Happy 17th Birthday
Submitted by DonnaD on Wed, 10/13/2010 - 22:22I woke on my 17th birthday to a jerk of my arm. What the hell’s going on. Then a cuppa went flying. Over the bosses sister so the day didnt start out well.
That was the first of many. And to make matters worse, I had just started my first full time job. The accommodation left a lot to be said but it was a job and out of home.
As time went on, the jerks got worse until I did see my doctor. You have Epilepsy, and need to see a specialist, can I be dealt a worst hand.

I, Ken Aitken had a very severe brain injury in December 1995 while surfing at Peregian Beach in Queensland, Australia I fell off a boogie-board in metre of water, hit my head on the sand and ended up in the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in December 1996. I was in a coma for four weeks and it took six months in hospital before I was able to walk, talk and function in a reasonably normal manner. I had suffered a severe brain injury and I wasn’t expected to live.
